Linus is our 12 year old She Turkish Van Cat, Linus is Angus's sister and boss of the house. Linus's hobbies are shouting at anything and being fussed all the time. Turkish Vans are supposed to like water, Linus enjoys jumping in the bath and having the water turned on she will play in, and drink the water for hours. Just try to give her or Angus a bath...... I have the scars
Unfortunately Linus and Fergus had an argument that caused a nasty abscess on Linus's hind leg. The abscess was next to a main artery, it burst and that could have been fatal !!. So after our really nice vet put her back together again, She has to wear this guard to stop her pulling out her stitches. After this incident, we realised that Linus and Fergus would never get on so we had to put Fergus up for adoption. Happily Fergus is now in his new home in London and is very happy. You may like to know that Linus is now fully recovered, and shouting and play fighting with Angus once again. I am leaving these pictures up as I think Linus looks really cute as a lampshade. Turkish Vans usually are White with some auburn markings, ours just have to be different, sorry. They are from the Ballantyne cattery home of Lois and Peter Miles, their Mom is Layla (A gorgeous odd eyed all white Turkish Van, Imported by Lois from Turkey) and Dad is Buster (A very big softy, just like Angus). To find out more about the Turkish Van Cat, known as the most intelligent of all Cats follow the Link on the Other Places page. Be warned these cats are more like dogs, they follow you, they need to be in your company, and they need stimulation, they hate being on their own. They have to go in a cat pen if you want them to be outdoor cats, and they make Houdini look like an amateur when it comes to escaping. Also You will be screened before you are allowed to be owned by a very expensive Turkish Van Cat. The reward .....The best pet you could ever wish for. E-Mail Linus |
